You've probably heard the saying, "Change your thoughts, change your life." How exactly does that happen? Well, it isn't rocket science. It's brain science!


Changing your thinking patterns changes your brain structure. Yeah, unreal, right?


Scientific research has shown that our brains are capable of neuroplasticity, or the ability to change itself, throughout our lifetimes. Through our thoughts, we have the ability to strengthen, weaken, or change neural connections in our brain.


This is really good news. Why?

Because whatever you ask your brain to do (employing intention, focus, practice, and reinforcement), it will strive to do. All this makes it easier for you to actually perform what you had been thinking about.

Your brain can reshape itself and form new synapses purely from thinking thoughts. In the nervous system, a synapse is a structure that permits a neuron to pass an electrical or chemical signal to another neuron. If you spend time to think and focus on what you want to happen, your brain will “fire” as if you were actually doing it. This strengthens the synapses between brain areas as well as muscles and organs.

And since your brain cannot differentiate between situations you are thinking about and situations that are actually occurring, the more you think about something, the more likely you can actually do it!

There is incredible power in our thoughts and the more you study how this works, the better you get at creating the success you want and deserve.
